You Don't Need the Perfect Words to Begin
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you don't know exactly what to say.
A lot of people worry they need to show up with a clear reason, a full life story, or a neatly organized explanation of what they're feeling. But therapy doesn't require a perfect starting point. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Sometimes the first step is simply saying, "I'm not sure where to start."
That is enough.
Therapy can be a space to slow things down and sort through what has been sitting in the background. Maybe you've been feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or just unlike yourself lately. Maybe nothing dramatic has happened, but something still feels heavy. You don't need to justify that.
As a person-centered therapist, my role is not to rush you, judge you, or force the conversation somewhere it isn't ready to go. We can begin wherever you are, even if that place feels messy, uncertain, or hard to name.
You don't need the perfect words to deserve support.
You just need a place where you can show up honestly and be met with care.
If you're curious about therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It's a chance to ask questions, get a feel for the process, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
Warmly,
Rachel
